Protect Your Computer
Beware of the Microsoft telephone scam. If you receive a telephone call from someone pretending to be from or representing Microsoft stating that your computer is causing a problem on the internet or has flagged up as faulty/ infected then watch out.
Microsoft do not telephone users, this is fraud. These people are very believable, incredibly persistent and have conned many people out of sometimes considerable sums of money for phoney servicing or security software.
What to Do
Network Advice
If a phone call like the one above is received, do not follow any instructions. Simply tell them that you have recently completed a Depth Scan of the hard drive and nothing is showing. No matter what they tell you a depth Scan will always find any major viruses or security threats
In the interests of Internet Security, do not disclose any information about the network, including IP addresses, computer names or the Network Name.
Fake Email from "Paypal"

PayPal is constantly working to ensure security regularly screening the accounts in our system. We recently reviewed your account and we need more information to help us provide you with secure service. Until we can collect this information, your access to sensitive account features will be limited. We would like to restore your access as soon as possible and we apologize for the inconvenience.

* Unusual account activity has made it necessary to limit account access until additional verification information can be collected. (Your Case ID for this reason is PP-029-183-716-107)
* Our system detected unauthorized use of a credit card linked to your PayPal account. (Your Case ID for this reason is PP-028-183-716-427)
How can I get my account access restored?
* Sign in to your account and follow the instructions on your screen.
